Live conduct of Doctoral Public Defence

Live conduct of Doctoral Public Defence

Based on the relaxation measures of May 10, 2021, the "live" conduct of doctoral acts is again possible.
Our university returns to the procedure applied before November 9, 2020, i.e.

(1) The public defence may be carried out in online or mixed (presence and online at the same time) form only if national and / or university regulations do not allow the participants the participation. The candidate's online presence is allowed just in exceptional, justified cases, when his personal presence is permanently impeded.

(2) An electronic public defence may be organized only if the candidate requests it with an acceptable reason, and if it is supported by the head of the doctoral school, and a doctoral council contributes to this form.

Of course, this does not apply to doctoral events that have already been organized and announced, they can be kept online without further permission.

On the live events protections maintained in the form to comply with epidemiological rules (distance, wearing a mask, etc.). Because the ban on other public events remains is valid, the doctoral defense may not be followed by reception or hospitality (on the campus).
